Other Measures of Success in 2023:
- Educated 77 people at our First Annual Huron County Natural Health Summit
- Supported 16 people in our community with care packages and items they needed to get through treatment or post treatment
- We helped 25 people at 3 different hospitals get to preventative appointments for mammograms and treatments by providing gas cards.
Since the start of WHYME, we’ve raised nearly $15,000 to help people with breast cancer in our community.
Continuing our Mission in 2024:
WHYME’s mission is to reduce the risk of breast cancer in Huron County through education and support. Our vision is to be the primary resource for breast cancer education and support to the Huron County, Ohio, community.
WHYME has impacted at least 118 lives during our 2023 through education, prevention, and support. We have big plans for serving our community in 2024 and beyond with your help.
Committees and Volunteers needed for 2024:
- Care Package volunteers to create care packages for those in need during treatment
- Outreach Committee – Those who know others going through a diagnosis or treatment to bring to the attention of WHYME to find the right amount of support for them
- Documentation Committee to update bylaws and ensure our 501(c)(3) info is accurate

Plus, we’re always looking for more event volunteers & guest speakers every month!
